As I mentioned, I am in Mackay today for Christmas Day, it was a convenient stop as the distance is huge, but it is the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef – not that I could do lots as everything was shut down and I have seen no one – the place is deserted but I think that is because its really hot and people are at home with their families. I did make sure that I went for a swim though and could see people in their gardens enjoying themselves. A few people were at the beach/park as they have public BBQ facilities which people make the most of.
My thoughts are with you all and I hope that you have a peaceful and happy time with whoever you choose to spend the festive season with.
I know that I said Mackay is a plain place but, Kim, Hannah and Ewan – I saw an AECOM office in town 🙈.
