So, this is me on Thursday 30th October 2025 when my lovely friend Jo took me to the station to get the train to Heathrow for the start of my epic trip! Ignore the weeds! I think that I was prepared, albeit rather nervous and apprehensive! Everything can be planned to the nth degree but I was still scared and excited all at the same time!
I have become so used to being at home in Newlyn, appreciating my surroundings and the people that I have come to know and love, the easy option was to stay put and carry on the way that I have been. The easy option isn’t always the best, I was getting far too comfortable being at home and getting in to the routine of village life and I knew that my big trip had always been an ambition for ages, sitting around at home was not going to get me anywhere.
So, this page and the following posts will be my chance to record what I am up to, post pictures and hopefully some insights and observations!
I am so grateful and humbled as friends and family have wanted to follow my experiences so, I hope to not disappoint.
