I know that I need to finish the rest of my Aussie road trip, and I will as I have some really good things to report back on, well in my mind anyway!! Not only that, but I have finished the South Island exploration trip in NZ and it was fecking awesome, but I arrived into Tahiti yesterday and French Polynesia is always somewhere that I have wanted to explore. It is totally french, I mean I knew it is French Polynesia but I was not expecting it to be totally french, all the shops are french, everyone speaks french etc etc – makes me all the more keen to get to Pondicherry ( East coast of India that was occupied by the French). It is only day 1 here and I am visiting another 3 islands in the next 2 weeks but I made this video today on the spur of the moment.
I feel extremely lucky and fortunate to be able to come here, somewhere that very few can visit, and I will be sure to make the most of my time here! It is a very indulgent video, but I hope you enjoy the scenery.
My next task is to write about the rest of the trip through the top of NSW and then on to Queensland. The weather was shocking and I will embarrass JoJo by saying that she was so worried about my whereabouts, she called the police! I love her for being so worried and the Brisbane area was stuck with cyclone activity but I had moved further north, and on a boat with no signal when she tried to contact me!! Despite the weather I did manage to get out to the Great Barrier Reef, once on an overnight racing boat (🥺) and then once out of Cairns. I have some cool videos, for me, as I decided to get a GoPro. As you will see from a couple of my videos and pictures from taking my phone underwater in a pouch – which did work I may add, the GoPro is a million times better!
The other thing is that I feel very comfortable here in Polynesia, being heavy waisted and brown, I fit in perfectly 😉😇🙏🏼.
